Bishop Don "Magic" Juan's CD Release "Green is for the Money
and Gold is for the Honeys"- One day with the Bishop is like
a day in the pen, you will get right. The party held at The
Dynasty in The Florentine Gardens transformed me and by the
end of the night I was on my knees…

The
Bishop, the Bishop was the word last night at The Dynasty
inside The Florentine Gardens. Everyone is in love with Bishop
Don Magic Juan and his new CD “Green is for the Money
and Gold is for the Honeys” on Avatar Records but, don’t
tell the Vatican, cuz they fer sho did not put out a release
on this one. His CD launch party was a majestic display of
Hollywood’s bold ones as they paraded in skimpies on
the green carpet, Bishop’s favorite color. Who was there?
Well, getting right to it, among the first arrivals included
Max Hardcore, Porno producer and his latest porn leading lady
by the name of Catalina who was only too happy to show off
what has made her so famous. She flipped her T-shirt showing
off some very talented twins that rivaled those of Pamela
Anderson. When asked what she thought of The Bishop’s
new CD she asked me who he was? She just forgot her script
on the set. Max stated that he would be willing to put Bishop
Don Magic Juan in one of his films!!! Gorgeous buxomed golden-bronze
singer/model Somaya Reece soon to be on the cover of Maxim
Mag in August was also oohing and ahhing for the cameras.
She said she had the opportunity to be in the Bishop’s
videos and that he fondly calls her little Pam Grier. Davetta
Sherwood, little kitten from The Young and The Restless popped
up and was amazed by it all. She was bumping her little hips
from a 95 lb. Frame, side to side, for the photogs. Standing
at a guestimated 5 feet tops in stilettos, she was cute. Davetta
plays the little sweet daughter of Victoria Rowell on Y&R.
Well, mama would have surely beat her butt, if she knew she
was at the Don’s affair. She finally ran into the venue
when an answer to one of my questions got stuck in her throat.
Oh, the Q? What do you think of the Pimpster lifestyle? And
she scurried off. Trust me, she’ll handle it in a few
years.

Eugenia Wright aka The kleopatragirl from good to bad to reciting
her Hail Mary's by the end of the night.
Then the carpet turned international and I had to whip out
my French for Trackdilla, Music Producer from Paris, looking
very bon trendy. He has produced for Sean Paul, Lil Zane,
Chico Benymon and others. He said he and Don Juan have the
same jeweler, in common. I loved his accent. Switcharoo to
Spanish as the Urbano/Latino scene got started with Chaz.
Urbano rappers, ooooh they are fearless. It’s that passion
mi amor. It just can’t be helped. Flexx, one of the
stars and producers of the film Seth, a suspense thriller
which will preem at the upcoming HBFF (Hollywood Black Film
Fest) made a late appearance. I could have talked to him all
night; he has a story that would require a one on one interview.
Flexx is an Ex gangster rapper and ex-cop who penned the popular
single “Whole lot of gangsta." When I asked him
what he thought about The Bishop he said “As Doris Day
would say ‘Que sera, sera.’” Look at Doris
Day, hmph, remembered, today in the gangsta culture?!!
There
was a gap from about 11:30PM till midnight when The Bishop
finally arrived and then a media frenzy took place. The Bishop
was in great form, sporting his famous wan/stick/crook/cane
encrusted with diamonds, diamond sunglasses and holding his
diamond signature goblet. No faux bling here. He has the real
deal. But, ah, the cup can you imagine what kind of elixir
that must hold? Once The Bishop arrived he gave me the scoop
on his style of music. The Bishop expressing his thoughts
ever so slowly “You can expect joy, love and happiness
from my music, to give people a chance to calm their nerves
and have an opportunity to hear what the words say. I brought
in some old school classics and talk in between the tracks,
such as tell her you love her, hey baby tell him you love
him. I’m just trying to bring some luv back to the game.”
This guy is really smooth. He doesn’t have to do much.
His style, flair, clothes, hat, teeth, says it all. He is
highly revered. Later in the evening once inside, Actress
Gina Gershon showed up and she and Bishop were like two little
cooing morning doves. They were stuck like glue with media
surrounding them and they loved it. I asked Ms. Show Girls
Gina what she thought about Bishop and she said, “I
love him so much everyone should have his album.” Her
eyes then twinkled and she looked up at his face beaming her
sensual crooked smile.
Then
I saw an opportunity to get a hold of that goblet, I have
a thing about beautiful drinking vessels, so I just stuck
my tongue in it, tasted some bitter drink, seconds later,
I got grabbed by a big guy that looked like he could be a
body guard who wanted me to dance with him, then I got knocked
in the head by someone else (who’s name I won’t
release) (literally I kid you not) and was transformed by
it all. That’s it, I’m out of here and started
saying my Hail Mary’s from the VIP room all the way
to the car. Hey maybe that’s why The Bishop is the bishop,
he’s so decadent; he’ll make you go right. As
I exited, Bishop Don was calling players and honeys to the
stage like an altar call. Once home, I got on my knees and
prayed for forgiveness for having such a sinful good time.
I can thank the Bishop Don Magic Juan and his great “Green
is for Money and Gold is for the Honeys” CD release
party for making me see the light! A day with the Don is like
a day in the pen, you will become a changed person. I’m
afraid to go to his next party; I might turn in to a nun!
