Hollywood gives props to Arnold Turner, the man behind the lense
– By Eugenia Wright, kleopatragirl writer

Last night at the Arc Light Theatre in the heart of Hollywood, celebs turned out to give props to the man behind the lense, bean town hoodie, Arnold Turner and deservingly so. Yes, I remember Arnold in the early 80’s when he came into town from Boston hangin' with my cousin Mark from Cambridge. Arnold was trying to take headshots of celebs and no one wanted to give him a break back then. Now look whose calling the shots. How things and times have changed. Every publicist in town would die to have him attend their events. But, who were the celebs? His contemporaries, of course, all those great photographers and paparazzi that make the red carpet glow. Arnold ranks in the top ten without question. Malcolm, Vinni, Valerie, Tanya and they know who they are, and others were all there to support their colleague and friend. TV stars such as Tim Reid and Daphne Maxwell-Reid; Reality Series star Omarosa and film stars Glynn Turman and Michael A. Shepperd stopped by to pay homage too. Even, Miss Yoga fitness goddess Robyn Downes dressed in a killa Kama Sutra outfit was there, by way of magic carpet no doubt, to do a little sun worship to the sharp shooter. I ran into P. Diddy and nearly knocked him over, well, not exactly, but a mounted picture poster size portrait of the Diddy that drew me in because it captured the essence of his greatness. Other music artists on display included the unforgettable sexy siren Alyiah and Queen Latifa, Snoop, Miss Janet Jackson, Toni Braxton and many more. They were all subjects of Arnold’s keen camera eye.

I was so glad to be there. Arnold, you have come a long way, my fellow Bostonian. The exhibit was spectacular and I hear it will be there for Black History Month. You must stop by and see it. Arnold Turner’s photography is a work of art.
