FIVE FOUR CLOTHING

Blitzed with subliminal messages of conformity, popular culture has lacked an avenue to express ideas unique to the individual. Each Generation identifies itself with a unifying symbol that represents its interests. In the 60's it was the peace symbol, in the 80's it was pop music and in the 00's it's urban culture. The current disconnect in urban culture has created a plethora of subgroups within the genre whose soul concern is blending in. Five Four, unlike any of its predecessors in the street wear genre, has generated a brand that is made to provoke thought while still maintaining its street roots. Gone are the days of ordinary logos and proverbial sayings. Welcome to the new era of clothing; Five Four is not just a shirt to wear; it's a way of life

In March 2002, 21 year-old entrepreneurs Andres Izquieta and Dee Murthy launched FIVE FOUR Clothing. Created to capture the essence of urban culture and lifestyle, FIVE FOUR spawned off of the urban slang that equates the term "Five Four" with "One Love": 5 - 4 = 1 = One Love.

FIVE FOUR is an avenue of expression for the new urban individual who does not want to be labeled. It is for the new age urbanite that has a diverse set of interests, uniquely distinguishing FIVE FOUR from its competitors. The fusion of different cultures, music, and interests has sparked the creation of the FIVE FOUR movement.

We were both born in 1980, making FIVE FOUR a company ran by the youth for the youth. Old guys in suits who lack the credibility to be in the urban market do not run FIVE FOUR. We are a part of this new generation and have built this clothing line through our hustle, drive, and passion.

As members of today's youth, we welcome you into our world: innovate, dream and participate.
