QUEEN LATIFAH TO STAR WITH WILL FERRELL, EMMA THOMPSON IN 'STRANGER THAN FICTION'

Grammy-nominated performer Queen Latifah has signed on for her next film project. The rapper-turned-actress-turned-singer is set to star with funnyman Will Ferrell and English actress and writer Emma Thompson in the film Stranger Than Fiction. The project will be directed by Marc Forster, who directed Finding Neverland.

In the new film, Latifah will play a book-publishing employee charged with helping authors overcome dreaded writers' block. Thompson has signed on to play a blocked writer, while Ferrell portrays an obsessive/compulsive IRS auditor who discovers that the voice in his head is that of an author who is writing a novel in which he is the lead character. Production is slated to begin in April.
