The nominees for the 2005 VIBE Awards have been announced and Ciara, Mariah Carey, John Legend and Kanye West lead the pack. VIBE magazine and UPN will present the third annual VIBE Awards on Tuesday, November 15 (8-10pm ET/PT). The show will feature musical performances from chart-topping artists and award presentations by the hottest celebrities from the worlds of music, fashion, television, sports and film.

Angelina Jolie's hairbrush is for sale on eBay. The actress accidentally left the brush on the set of new film The Good Shepherd earlier this year. Canadian seller "Ms Momsy" says she was given the brush by her cousin reports Digitalspy. Bidding starts at $160.

L.L. Cool J says he is putting the finishing touches on his next album project, expected sometime in early 2006. Tentatively titled My Favorite Flavor, the Queens, New York rap artist says the star-studded set is his "most refreshing" project yet.

Daniel Radcliffe says he may not be in all of the Harry Potter movies. Daniel, 16, who has been the boy wizard since he was 11, is considering other projects, say sources. So far he has filmed four of the movies - the latest, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, is out on November 18. Asked what he will do when the role comes to an end, Daniel replied: "We've got a while before the films end. "I'm not absolutely confident that I'm doing them all. I'm definitely doing the fifth, but after that who knows?"

A Chicago judge on Friday turned down R Kelly's motion to dismiss the case. Lawyers for the embattled R&B star contented that the period in which the alleged crime occurred was "too vague," but Cook County Judge Vincent Gaughan ruled that "the evidence is sufficient for Mr. Kelly to prepare a defense."

Whitney Houston stunned fans at the BET 25th anniversary celebration concert on Wednesday night when she appeared unannounced onstage for a brief tribute to late pal Luther Vandross. It was the newly-blonde Houston's first public appearance since she left rehab this summer and guests at the event, held at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, welcomed her with a minute-long standing ovation. Meanwhile, Houston's husband Bobby Brown also received a standing ovation when he joined his former boy band New Edition on stage for a medley at the event.

Billboards advertising 50 Cent 's new film “Get Rich or Die Tryin” are being removed in Los Angeles communities, following complaints that they glorify gun violence. Last Wednesday activists in the south Los Angeles neighbourhood of Hyde Park staged a rally calling on Paramount to remove the billboards from the city. The semi-autobiographical movie, which is set to open on 9 November, follows 50 Cent playing a drug dealer who abandons his criminal lifestyle to pursue a music career.

Young DeBarge claims Janet Jackson has an 18-year-old daughter named Renee that was raised by Rebbie Jackson. The mother of the DeBarge family has spoken out against the rumors; stating, "no child has yet to surface."

The Source has filed a $100 million dollar lawsuit against BET, alleging that the network refused to air The Source Awards on October 25th as stipulated in a signed agreement. “They kept moving the date back and then ultimately took a position that they didn’t want to put it on this year,” said The Source co-Founder Dave Mays. “They have a very clear contract to televise the awards and we were put in a position to file our lawsuit.”

Paris Hilton, socks it to her ex-friend Nicole Richie, in her debut album, due out around Christmas. A source who's had a sneak listen tells Star People that there's a song devoted to Nicole about how Paris thinks Nicole used her and how Nicole never would have been famous without Paris. At one point, Paris just repeats the b---h word, the source says. "As she was playing it to me, she was just laughing and said, 'This one's all about Nicole!'" Nicole's rep says, "We can't comment on it because we haven't heard it." Paris' rep says there is a song about jealousy, but nobody is named in it and the word b---h isn't used.

In response to a rumor that Missy Elliottwas dropped by her label, Atlantic Records issued a statement that read, "There is absolutely no truth to the rumor that Missy Elliott has been dropped from the Atlantic Records roster. She is an icon, a pioneering artist of extraordinary vision and immense talent. We have the greatest respect and love for Missy, and she remains a cornerstone of this company."
