Diana Ross returned to the singles charts for the first time in six years this week. Ross' duet with Rod Stewart on the George and Ira Gershwin classic "I've Got A Crush On You," entered Billboard's Adult Contemporary Charts at Number 33. The tune is featured on Stewart's latest collection of standards called Thanks for the Memory... The Great American Songbook Vol. IV.
Katie Holmes ' former fiancé Chris Klein fears the actress is being brainwashed by Tom Cruise's Church of Scientology. The actress has converted to the religion at the request of her new fiancé, but Klein, who split from Holmes shortly before she began dating Cruise, fears she is not being allowed to make her own decisions.
The Hawaii International Film Festival honored Samuel L. Jackson with its Achievement in Acting award during a ceremony held last Friday (November 4th). The actor, whose 80-film career includes critically-acclaimed roles in Pulp Fiction and A Time To Kill, was selected for his ability to "command multi-million dollar salaries and pack seats in blockbusters while still delivering unforgettable performances in groundbreaking, critically-acclaimed, independent films," festival organizers said in a statement.
Rihanna is set to make her movie debut - playing herself. The singer has landed a cameo role in the film Bring It On, Bring It On, Bring It On Again! In the movie, cheerleaders compete to appear in fictional Rihanna TV special reports Teen Hollywood. Rihanna says she plans to take acting classes to help her get more parts. She said: "I really want to get into acting."
50 Cent may be changing his ways. Last week, he publicly stated that he may be receptive to ending his feud with Jadakiss and even working with the rapper in the future, and now he's saying that he'd be willing to sit down with his former mentor Nas, who during a recent interview credited himself for showing 50 Cent his first Bentley. The rapper told MTV.com, "Nas is right. I did see he had nice stuff at that point. It was later I started feeling different about him. He's wishy-washy sometimes. We had our little differences, and we been saying little stuff to each other on record, but I don't have nobody trying to hurt Nas."
Acclaimed magician Siegfried Fischbacher has dismissed a former bodyguard's lawsuit against him, claiming he over-medicated injured partner Roy Horn, insisting the truth will come out in the end. Louis Mydlach claims he was forced to quit after refusing to help Fischbacher feed Horn painkillers during his recovery from a tiger attack onstage in Las Vegas in 2003.
Lil ’ Jon’sBME Recordings and 50 Cent’s G-UnitRecords have formed a new partnership. “Me & 50 struck a deal to work together on selected BME and G-Unit artists,” said Jon. Lil’ Scrappy will be the first artist to be released under the new union.
Sir Elton John is reportedly planning a Christmas wedding. He is due to marry partner David Furnish on the 21 December. According to ITV.com the ceremony will take place at a charity party for his Aids Foundation in New York.
Rapper and actor Xzibit is one of the stars of the new movie, Derailed, which hits theaters on November 11th. The thriller also stars Jennifer Aniston, Clive Owen, and RZA. The project is Xzibit's third screen role, as he had supporting roles in XXX: State of The Union and 8 Mile.
Sharon Osbourne has launched a foul-mouthed attack on Madonna, accusing her of looking like "an old hooker". Sharon laid into Madonna, 47, for constantly swapping her image and becoming obsessed with the Kabbalah religious sect. Sharon, 53, told Word magazine: "It's like dressing up with her. "One day you're in f***ing gun gear, then you're in horsing gear, then you dress like a f***ing dyke, then you dress like a hooker, then you're in a flowery dress reading kids' poetry looking like a f***ing librarian - then you're back looking like an old hooker again.

The Source magazine has been fighting financial issues for some time, and now it appears that Jay-Z, Warner Music Group chairman Lyor Cohen, and former Interscope Records exec Steve Stoute might be making a play to purchase the mag. SOHH.com reports that the trio's attempts to purchase the magazine were recently revealed by two former Source employees and a source at Jay-Z's Def Jam Records.
George Clooney says he will not appear in any more romantic films. The actor says at the age of 44 he wants to move always from playing the romantic hero. He said: "I don't want to be 60 and doing love scenes with 35-year-old actresses." George has two new films due out early next year and is keen not to get typecast reports ITV.com. In Good Night and Good Luck he plays a chubby, bespectacled newsreader and he plays a CIA man in Syriana.
A lawsuit filed in the LA Superior Court accuses Damon Dash of stealing the concept for the reality series “Ultimate Hustler” from two LA producers. John Coleman and John Rhodes claim Dash stole the idea from their concept “Mogul,” after they pitched him on it.
Joe Jackson , the controversial patriarch of the Jackson family, is trying to discover the next hip-hop superstar. Jackson, who's launched the new hiphopbootcamp.com website to round up young talent, hopes to turn the project into a hit reality show -- which presumably will include an actual boot camp. The web site promises that the winner of the scout will receive money and prizes, plus the personal guidance of Jackson himself.
