Jay-Z's countersuit against R.
Kelly for the crooner's alleged debauchery during
the Best of Both Worlds tour was dismissed by a judge Monday
in New York. Jigga's suit was rejected on the basis that
the rapper's charges against the singer had no legal foundation.
"We're gratified . . . by the judge's decision,"
said R.'s attorney, Jay's lawyer plans to continue his client's
legal battle.
Kelsey Grammer has joined the cast of X-Men
3. The Fraiser star is set to play Beast, an oversized blue-furred
creature, reports Variety. The Matthew Vaughn-directed sequel
is also due to star former soccer star turned actor Vinnie
Jones as Juggernaut, a 900-pound metal-clad battering ram
who is the half-brother of Professor X and will be a part
of Magneto's villainous band.
Young Buck's Friday court date in Los Angeles
in connection with the Vibe Awards brawl was once again
postponed to June 8th. Young Buck has already pleaded not
guilty to assault with a deadly weapon.
Actor-comedian Mike Epps reportedly will
portray legendary funnyman Richard Pryor
in a big-screen biopic. Richard and his wife, Jennifer Lee
Pryor, will co-produce the film, while filmmaker Walter
Hill (Brewster's Millions) will direct.
Andre 3000 has signed a deal with Nickelodeon
and MTV to produce programming for kids.
Lindsay Lohan has confirmed she has agreed
to star in Mission: Impossible 3. She will replace Scarlett
Johansson in the film who had to pull out after filming
delays reports Contactmusic.com. She said: "I just
met with JJ Abrams, who is directing - who I'm a huge fan
of. So, hopefully... We'll see what happens. "If so,
I'll be in training for a few weeks, putting on some muscle.
Eminem has signed his name onto 30 gold-painted
bricks from the now-demolished Detroit Artillery Armory
on 8 Mile Road in Oak Park, Mich., for an upcoming online
auction. Proceeds will go to the Eight Mile Boulevard Association
and the Marshall Mathers Foundation.
Gwen Stefani has revealed she plans to
release a second solo album before the end of the year.
She told MTV she plans to work with the Neptunes' producer
Pharrell Williams on tracks which never made her debut Top
10 album Love Angel Music Baby as well as writing new songs.
Nelly has teamed up with brewing company
Anheuser-Busch to appear in a new commercial that warns
parents about the dangers of underage drinking. The 30-second
spot, titled "Who Am I?," premieres Wednesday
during NBC's Law & Order. Meanwhile, Nelly and Paramount
Pictures will hold a benefit screening of The Longest Yard
on Sunday in St. Louis, with ticket proceeds going to the
Jes-Us-4-Jackie Marrow Registry Campaign.

plans to sue UK tabloid The Sun, she's now going after the

P. has signed a deal with auto accessory company
Ashanti to launch a new line of rims, called P. Miller Rims.
“I made a rim to fit every lifestyle with the quality
that I think everyone deserves but may not normally get,"
said Master P. P. Miller Rims hit the streets June 21st,
the same day as his new CD, Ghetto Bill Gates.
Oscar-
and Golden Globe-winner Jamie Foxx will
star in his own musical special, tentatively titled The
Jamie Foxx Special, in the 2005-2006 season for NBC. The
one-hour special will showcase Foxx's musical talents and
follow the release of his first music CD this fall. Foxx
will serve as executive producer of the special.
For
an ex-con under house arrest, Martha Stewart
has a lot to celebrate these days. On Monday, Stewart's
spin-off of "The Apprentice" got a coveted primetime
spot in NBC's primetime schedule. Stewart's new syndicated
daytime show "Martha," also produced by Mark Burnett,
is drawing real heat with NBC's affiliate stations. And
on Saturday, Stewart's already deceased syndicated series
"Martha Stewart Living" earned a Daytime Emmy.
