Helena Christensen has signed up to become the new face and body of sexy Ultimo lingerie. The Danish model beat off competition from Desperate Housewives stars Eva Longoria and Nicollette Sheridan, who were tipped to succeed previous model Rachel Hunter.

Sean Combs is suing Proactive skin care company because his skin isn't bump-free. SOHH.com reports that Diddy filed a $1.5 million lawsuit against Guthy Renker, the makers of Proactive Solution. The mogul said, "I look foolish on an infomercial promoting a product for skin care and my skin still has bumps on it. Proactive promises a risk-free, money-back trial. After all I've been through, I want my money back and more." Renker has countersued Diddy, alleging that his endorsement deal with Diet Pepsi is the true cause of his skin woes. The lawsuit said, "Even though Diet Pepsi has no calories, fat, or carbs, it still contains aspartame, potassium benzoate, phosphoric acid, and citric acid, which can wreak havoc on skin."

Justin Timberlake has landed his first Hollywood leading role as an action hero in war film Stop The Loss. The star will be playing a tough renegade soldier, in a role similar to that of Sylvester Stallone’s unhinged Vietnam War veteran John Rambo. A source says, "Justin is thrilled about getting his first leading role. It is a huge challenge for him and he's excited as well as nervous."

A judge in LA has ruled to take control of Suge Knight’s assets, including Death Row Records after Suge failed to make good on a $107 million civil court judgment.


Jennifer Lopez is reportedly so desperate to become pregnant she is on a spinach diet. The singer, who is married to Marc Anthony, started the diet on her doctor's recommendation to boost her intake of folic acid and increase her chances of conception. According to IOL.com she said: "Since my doctor recommended it I've been on spinach omelettes for breakfast, spinach salad for lunch and sauteed spinach with every dinner. "I guess if the spinach doesn't help me conceive I'll still end up with Popeye-sized muscles."

Weeks after Russell Simmons’ wife Kimora denied a split, the couple publicly announced their split on Friday March 31st, admitting that they've already been separated for "some time" while still living under the same roof. They have two young daughters and said they'd "remain committed parents and caring friends with great love and admiration for each other." No reason for the split was given.

The Spice Girls have been voted the top cultural icon of the 1990s in a new survey. The girls, who formed in 1993 and disbanded in 2000, won eighty per cent of the votes, beating out competition from late Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain, who committed suicide in 1994. The third most popular cultural icon of the decade in the Trivial Pursuit poll of 1,000 people was model/actress Elizabeth Hurley, who shot to fame after wearing her safety pin Versace dress to the London premiere of Four Weddings and a Funeral which starred her then-boyfriend Hugh Grant.

Soul legend Etta James is desperate for another soul diva to play her in a planned film of her life. A movie based on James' 1995 autobiography Rage to Survive has long been in the pipelines - and the star is keen to get involved in the casting process. She says, "Faith Evans or Mary J Blige. Each one would bring real life experiences to the part. "And that's important when you're dealing with someone like me."

Ja Rule and Naomi Campbell have signed on to star in Diddy’s new celebrity show, “Cooking Showdown.” The show pairs well-known chefs like Wolfgang Puck, Cat Cora and Govind Armstrong with various celebrities during a week-long cooking competition. “Cooking Showdown” is scheduled to debut on NBC in April.

Destiny's Child have received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Beyonce said: "We started when we were nine years old, and here we are getting a Hollywood star. Dreams come true. So thank you all so much for supporting us."

Barbra Streisand had affairs with both Prince Charles and Dodi Fayed, according to a new book. Charles is said to have fantasised about the singer in his journal, noting her "great sex appeal". According to the book, Barbra: The Way She Is, by Christopher Anderson, Streisand has also bedded a string of A list actors. They include Liam Neeson, Warren Beatty, Ryan O'Neal, Steve McQueen, KrisKristofferson, Jon Voight, Richard Gere, Omar Sharif, Peter Weller, Tommy Smothers and Don Johnson.

A stage version of roller disco film Xanadu, which starred Olivia Newton-John, is in the works for a spring 2007 debut. The music will be taken from the film version, and will include Newton-John's hit song Magic. The fantasy-romance follows a frustrated artist and a has-been big-band leader (played by Gene Kelly in the movie) inspired by a mysterious woman (Newton-John) to build a flashy roller disco. The film flopped when it was released at the box office in 1980, but went on to become a cult classic. The new stage version will be tested in markets outside of New York City, before playing at a yet-to-be-determined venue in the city.
