Dada footwear has signed Xzibit to produce his own shoe for the company under the line, “Pimp Your Kicks.”
Justin Timberlake is reportedly set to go play a gay man in Will and Grace. He is planning to play the "bad boy" boyfriend of Sean Hayes' character Jack during the guest appearance. Us Weekly reports that Timberlake has signed up for a three episode run on the show when it returns for its eighth and final season in the autumn.
Jay-Z will open a second 40/40 Sports Bar in Atlantic City, this August.
Ozzy Osbourne has defended the decision to put Jada Pinkett-Smith's band Wicked Wisdom on the bill for this summer's Ozzfest. He says he was "blown away" by the band when he went to see them perform in a Los Angeles club.
In related news, Kelly Osbourne has checked herself back into rehab. The 20-year-old daughter of Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne, checked into Pasadena, California's Las Encinas hospital, according to American magazine Us Weekly. A source told the magazine: "She's going to be in for a couple of weeks. She's slipped into some of her old problems and is not doing so well. Everyone is supporting her."
Journalists interviewing Angelina Jolie about her latest movie have been told they may be sued if they ask any personal questions. Reporters interviewing the 30-year-old actress about Mr and Mrs Smith in which she stars with Brad Pitt must sign a contract before the interviews agreeing not to ask any personal questions. According to the New York Post, the document adds that if an interviewer does not comply, he or she can be sued for an "undisclosed" amount.
Russell Simmons is looking to make even more moves with his new Def Jam Mobile wireless service. According to the New York Post, Def Jam Mobile signed music artists like Chingy and Method Man to produce new tunes exclusively for mobile phones. In addition to hip-hop ring tones, the article states, Def Jam Mobile will also offer "sportz tonez," which will allow sports fans to hear the sounds of their favorite games when their cell phone rings.
Katie Holmes won't portray Andy Warhol protege in a new movie because Tom Cruise believes it would be bad for her image. The 26-year-old former Dawson's Creek star was reportedly set to agree to play drug addict Edie Sedgwick in Factory Girl according to the New York Post. "Tom doesn't believe in those drugs because of his belief in Scientology." Another source said: "Tom didn't want her to take the role because it portrayed her as a victim and he said she should only take strong roles."
Usher's been nominated for awards once again! This time he's up for two BET Awards, America's biggest urban music awards. Usher has two nominations: one for Best Collaboration on My Boo with Alicia Keys and one for Best R n B Male. The ceremony takes place in Los Angeles on June 28, hosted by Will Smith and his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith.
Homer Simpson and his hugely popular family are set to hit the big screen in a new full-length movie based on the cult cartoon series. The show's principal voice actors have all signed on for the project and creator Matt Groening is delighted with the script for the film.
Fans of Dave Chappelle are hoping his popular comedy will return after the American funnyman met with the boss of cable network Comedy Central on Friday June 3rd. The third season of The Dave Chappelle Show was suspended indefinitely last month, after the comedian went on an unscheduled "spiritual retreat" to South Africa. Fox will not reveal what was discussed, or when or if the show will return to the network.
Troubled boxer Mike Tyson wants to quit the sport for good and become a missionary. Tyson - who will fight 31-year-old Irishman Kevin McBride this weekend says, "My whole life has been a waste. I've been a failure. "I just want to escape. I'm really embarrassed with myself and my life. "I want to be a missionary. I think I could do that while keeping my dignity without letting people know they chased me out of the country."
Vin Diesel is desperate for a baby since starring in family comedy The Pacifier. The broody action star, 38, admits his credibility as a screen hard man disintegrated whilst working on the film, and he is now keen to start a family of his own. "I couldn't help it! My image went right out the window when I started holding that baby. "I want one of my own!".
