Victoria
Beckham is set to land her own style programme on American
TV. The man behind the venture is none other than Simon
Fuller, the music mogul who launched the Spice Girls and
Pop Idol. Simon told Broadcast magazine: "It won't be a TV
show for the sake of a TV show. It will be a fashion proposition
that will fit her fashion business. Vic, who already designs her
jeans range and has launched her own perfume, has been inundated
with offers over the last two years, according to Simon.
DMX has effectively canceled what would have been
his very first USO tour. The hip-hop star was originally headed
to the Persian Gulf region this week to perform and also meet and
greet the service members. His representatives first pushed back
his departure from August 22nd to August 23rd, but he failed to
appear Wednesday for his flight to Kuwait. According to the USO,
DMX offered no explanation for the no-show.
Gladys
Knight plans to open another “Gladys Knight and Ron
Winans Chicken and Waffles” restaurant in Las Vegas in 2008.
Rapper
and actor Ludacris will release his next album,
titled Release Therapy, on September 26th. The new album finds him
pairing up with some high-profile guests like R. Kelly
on the track "Woozy," Mary J. Blige on
the track "Runaway Love," and fellow MCs Pimp
C, C-Murder and Beanie Sigel on "Do Your Time."
He also reunited with the Neptunes who produced his 2000 hit "Southern
Hospitality” for two tracks on the set, including the first
single, "Money Maker" featuring Pharrell.

Wayne was arrested on drug possession charges in Atlanta.
A man
that tried to extort $9 million by claiming to be Kenneth
"Babyface" Edmonds' illegitimate son plead guilty
to a misdemeanor intimidation charge and was sentenced to six-months
in a halfway house and six months probation. John Travis
Clark was arrested after demanding money from the Grammy
Award winner's attorney in exchange for not going public with his
story.
Usher
Raymond made his Broadway debut Tuesday night as the smarmy
lawyer Billy Flynn in the current revival of Chicago.
Playing to a packed, star-studded audience, Usher's entrance was
greeted with cheers, according to the New York Post. Penelope Cruz,
Gabrielle Union, Phylicia Rashad, Rosie Perez, Gayle King and Jill
Marie Jones were among the celebrities in attendance at New York's
Ambassador Theater to see the star's stage premiere.

is being blamed by law enforcement across the country for the surge
in the dangerous practice of “ghost riding” by young
people.
Rapper
T.I. is preparing for his next film role, American
Gangster, which is due to begin shooting soon. It's the follow-up
to T.I.'s starring role in ATL earlier this year. The rapper will
be acting alongside Oscar-worthy actors Denzel Washington
and Russell Crowe, as well as fellow hip-hop stars Common
and RZA. |
