After months of delays, Dave Chappelle's
comedy series Chapelle's Show will be back for its third
season beginning May 31 at 10 p.m. ET on Comedy Central.
In addition, the Chappelle's Show: Second Season Uncensored
DVD drops May 24. As previously reported, the comic recently
signed a lucrative $50 million deal with the laugh network.
Madonna has landed a role in Puss In Boots
the movie. The Queen Of Pop will provide the voice behind
a character in the animated film, which goes into production
this year. The movie is a spin-off from Shrek 2 and will
see Antonio Banderas voice his Puss character. Other big
names, including Mike Myers, are thought to be taking part.
This is the second animated role Madge has signed up to.
She will also feature in a film based on her kids' book
The English Rose.
Jerry Seinfeld is going to be a father
again. He and his wife (the former Jessica Sklar) are expecting
their third child this fall.
Virgin Mobile is exclusively
offering ring tones of songs from Faith's
new CD, The First Lady, to its users for a limited time.
Among the ringers available for download are "Again,"
"Goin' Out" and "Tru Love." The ring
tones will be available until May 25.
The Black Eyed Peas are planning solo careers
after the release of their next album. Taboo said: "Fergie
has her record, I have a Spanish record coming out and Apl
has a Philippino record coming out. "We decided to
branch out and show the world that we as individuals could
represent our own styles."
Denzel Washington is in final talks to
reunite with Man on Fire director Tony Scott and producer
Jerry Bruckheimer for the romantic thriller Deja Vu. If
Denzel signs on, he will play an FBI agent who travels back
in time and falls for a woman who is about to be murdered.
ABC has announced a May 4 airdate for its
much-talked-about Primetime Live exposè
on American Idol. In a press release, the
network said the hour-long report will "explore explosive
claims about behind-the-scenes activities" at the show.
Rumor has it those activities involve Paula Abdul, disgraced
former contestant Corey Clark and what may or may not have
happened in Ryan Seacrest's makeup trailer.
The
Game, 50 Cent, Eminem's record label and other
parties have been slapped with a $280 million civil suit
by radio DJ Kwesi Jones, who alleges Game and his crew viciously
assaulted him in January at a Maryland radio station. The
suit also claims that Game bragged about the alleged incident
in a song. In addition, Maryland prosecutors have formally
filed charges of assault against Game.
Austin Powers beauty Elizabeth Hurley is
quitting her movie career to care for her three-year-old
son Damian. The model-turned-actress feels guilty about
leaving her child for long periods of time to shoot films,
so has vowed to snub Hollywood until Damian is old enough
to cope without her. From New York City, Hurley tells website
Pagesix.Com, "I'm not going to do movies for now. I
don't want to leave my son for such long periods of time.
Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has
managed to wrestle himself another hot movie gig. The actor
has joined the cast of the sci-fi flick Southland Tales.
Set in Los Angeles 2008, Rock plays Boxer Santaros, an amnesiac
action star who crosses paths with a porn star (Sarah Michelle
Gellar) and a cop (Seann William Scott) as the world is
on the verge of global disaster.
Brad Pitt and Jennifer Lopez
have topped a poll to find the "best butts in Hollywood".
Readers of Oxygen Magazine voted the pair to have the most
impressive behinds for the mag's June issue. In the male
section readers put 41-year-old Pitt way out in front with
34.4 per cent of the vote. Second place was Be Cool star
Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson with just over 10 per
cent of the votes, while third was xXx star Vin Diesel with
just over six per cent. There was a tighter battle to find
the best female butt. Lopez, 34, just pipped Destiny Child's
Bootylicious Beyonce, 23, with the pair polling 19.58 and
16.67 per cent respectively.
George Lucas, he will guest-star as himself
on The O.C.'s May 12 episode, Fox confirms.
In the episode, Lucas expresses interest in Seth's (Adam
Brody) "graphic novel," which leads Ryan's better
half to make a difficult decision regarding Summer. Things
become even more complicated when Lucas invites Seth to
dinner and gives him some worldly advice.
OutKast has settled its lawsuit with Rosa
Parks. Under the settlement, OutKast, Sony BMG Music Entertainment
and subsidiary labels, Arista and LaFace, will pay for several
educational programs, including a tribute CD, and a broadcast
television special about Parks. The TV special will be issued
on DVD and given to thousands of schools around the country
